The garden

We attach great importance to respecting the local flora and fauna, and take great care to preserve the natural surroundings. The garden deliberately retains a natural, traditional aspect, with its many restanques (Provencal dry-stone retaining walls). The garden is planted with numerous local species (olive trees, lavender, agapanthus, laurel, rosemary, thyme, rockrose, sage, oak, etc.) that are never treated with chemicals, and is therefore teeming with insects, birds and other mammals (we are classified as an LPO refuge for the protection of birds and nature). Here, natural meadows are king and require no watering, and lighting is kept to a minimum at night to let nocturnal species enjoy the place. We also attach great importance to using environmentally-friendly household products, recycling water from the gîtes to water the garden plants.
